If you are a slip owner and would like to contribute your time serving on the LBYC Board of Directors, send a memo indicating your interest to LBYC, P.O. Box 185, Harrods Creek, KY 40027. The election of Directors will take place at the Annual Shareholders Meeting on June 21, 2016. There will be no nominations from the floor prior to the election. The memo of interest must be received by May 16, 2016 to be placed on the ballot.
The LBYC Board has worked diligently exploring and evaluating marina improvements and how to prepare for the future. There is now a 2-year plan with certain issues receiving a priority status requiring immediate attention to prevent serious and more costly problems. Be looking for these exciting improvements beginning winter of 2016, and be looking for Limestone Bay Yacht Club to maintain it's status as one of the premier marina's in the local boating community. New decking for A, E and F docks F dock parking lot paving Steel pilings to replace the swing-arms on E and F docks Major suction dredging On-going dock maintenance for all docks and River Road fence repairs
It's not just the seasons that are a-changing. The Board is currently interviewing several potential new management companies to operate Limestone Bay Club for us. Food and beverage service at the clubhouse will be closed for a bit to give us time to get on our new heading and insure we are on course to provide exactly the right fit to both satisfy our Club's charter and serve our Members' needs. But we have already seen some very exciting destinations in the charts that we have been shown. So stay tuned for updates and we'll let you know when our new skipper is on board and we're about ready to cast off.
We almost had a meeting. Limestone Bay Yacht Club, Inc. held its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at the Knights of Columbus Clubhouse, 4417 Upper River Road, Louisville, Kentucky, pursuant to the Notice of Meeting mailed to all shareholders the beginning of June 2015. The purpose of the Annual Meeting was to elect our directors and to inform our shareholders of the status of the Limestone Bay Yacht Club Corporation. There being no quorum this became an informational meeting. For complete notes from the meeting, shareholders are encouraged to read the report in the Commodore's Corner.
